Hermes: delete your data
Hermes, by Orbwright Labs. How to have your Hermes data deleted, what is deleted, and what is kept.
Delete one chat
In the Hermes app, open the history drawer, find the chat and delete it. Its messages and any images you attached are removed from the server straight away.
Delete everything about you
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Hermes data".
- Say which family member you are, as Hermes knows you. If you write from an address we don't recognise, we confirm with you another way before deleting anything.
- We delete your data within 30 days and reply to confirm when it's done.
What is deleted
- All your chats: their messages and the images you attached.
- The notes Hermes saved about you when you asked it to remember something.
- The device keys and IDs of your linked phones. Those phones have to be linked again to use Hermes.
- The technical logs of your calls.
- Pages you asked Hermes to publish at links.mailpro.in, if you ask for those too.
Voice audio is never stored, so there is none to delete.
What is kept, and for how long
- Nothing about you stays in the live system.
- The server's chat database is copied to a backup every night. Your deleted data leaves that copy the following night; older backup versions expire within 12 months.
- Call logs are deleted after 30 days in any case.
